If you are the tech everyone walks over to when a diagnosis does not make sense, you are already doing the job. This is the role that pays you for it. Our Environmental Solutions client is hiring a Lead Diesel Technician for their Worcester operation, and they are willing to go to the top of the range for someone who brings real heavy-duty depth.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of diesel technicians through daily shop operations
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Assign and prioritize work orders to keep the fleet running and downtime low
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
• Troubleshoot with diagnostic software and get equipment back in service fast
• Quality check the team's work and keep service records accurate
• Partner with the shop manager on parts, scheduling, and safety compliance

What we are looking for

• 5+ years on heavy-duty diesel or heavy equipment
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring other technicians (formal lead or foreman title not required)
• Strong diagnostic ability on engines, hydraulics, and electrical
• Your own hand tools
• Valid driver license, CDL a plus but not required
• ASE or manufacturer certifications welcome, not required for the right experience

About that 3:00am start

We are not burying it at the bottom of the posting. It is early. The trade-off is that you are done by early afternoon with your day still ahead of you, you miss traffic in both directions, and the pay reflects the start time.
