We're hiring a
Heavy Equipment Technician II
to join the maintenance team of one of the nation’s leading waste collection companies. If you’ve worked with yellow iron or have strong diesel or automotive repair experience (especially with light/medium-duty trucks), this is a great opportunity to grow into a heavy equipment role with full support, paid certifications, and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the
inspection, maintenance, and repair
of a variety of heavy-duty equipment and trucks
Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshoot
mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Conduct
routine preventive maintenance
per mileage, time, and usage schedules
Support senior technicians with
brake, engine, and chassis system repairs
Document work performed and ensure repairs meet DOT and internal safety standards
Use tools and equipment including
gauges, grinders, and measuring instruments
Minimum Qualifications:
1–2 years of Yellow Iron equipment experience
OR
3 years of diesel or automotive technician experience, ideally with some truck repair exposure
Basic understanding of
hydraulic systems
and mechanical troubleshooting
Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced repair work
Valid driver’s license with a
clean driving record
over the past 3 years
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus
