Licensed Diesel Mechanic I (310T)
Location: Mississauga, Ontario Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Pay: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour (base $43.00 to $45.00 plus $4.00 overnight shift premium)

This is a licensed 310T seat on overnights in Mississauga, on a fleet that's maintained rather than run into the ground. The premium is real money, not a rounding error, and the shop is set up so you're not fighting for a hoist at two in the morning.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnosing, overhauling and repairing tractors and trailers across the full fleet
- Major component work: engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems
- Air and hydraulic brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, suspension, HVAC
- All levels of preventive maintenance, properly documented
- Identifying warrantable repairs and writing them up on the repair order
- Road testing units to confirm the repair before they go back into service
- Running your own board overnight with minimal supervision
What you bring
- Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification, current with Skilled Trades Ontario
- 5+ years on tractor-trailer equipment
- Class G licence, with the ability to obtain a DZ within six months of hire
- Full set of hand tools
- Someone who works well without a supervisor in the building
What it actually pays
- $47.00 to $49.00 per hour on this shift, with the overnight premium included
- Shift premiums: $3.00 evening, $4.00 overnight
